HC Deb 26 March 1942 vol 378 c2186W
Colonel Burton

asked the Secretary for Mines whether his attention has been called to the closing down of the Blackhall Colliery, Durham; what is the cause; and what action he is taking to secure its reopening?

Mr. Grenfell

I am aware that this mine has been idle owing to a dispute since i6th March. The chief conciliation officer of my Department is now in Durham, and I must await his report before making any further statement.
