Mr. Sorensen

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies the percentage of recruits in West Africa and the West Indies who were rejected on medical grounds; what percentage of those accepted into the Forces had to receive medical or dental treatment; what were the main defects and complaints; and whether comparative records can be given of the weight and health of the men on recruitment and six and 12 months later?
