HC Deb 30 June 1942 vol 381 cc38-9W
Dr. Morgan

asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, having considered the situation and the desire of the local population, he is now in a position to declare the policy of His Majesty's Government as to the desirability and advisability of reviving the historic Royal West Indian Regiments instead of recruiting isolated individuals and scattering them in different service arms, so that organised recruitments could be started amongst the loyal inhabitants of the West Indian Islands?

Mr. Harold Macmillan

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to his previous question on this subject on 8th July, 1941. There has been no change in the position since then.
