Mr. Leach

asked the Minister of Health what was the death rate per 1,000,000 persons living in each of the years 1938, 1939, 1940 and 1941 from smallpox, measles, scarlet fever, diphtheria, whooping-cough, enteric fever, cancer and diabetes?

The total death rate per million in England and Wales from the diseases to which my hon. Friend refers, was as follows:

The death rate per million under 15 years of age in England and Wales from the diseases to which my hon. Friend refers, was, for the years 1939 and 1940, as follows:
