§ Mr. PeatThe Scottish Motor Trades Association were consulted when the tyre-rationing scheme was in preparation. Tyre manufacturers' depôts do not normally engage in retail distribution and I have no reason to suppose that the course suggested would lead to the more efficient working of the scheme or would be welcomed by manufacturers or tyre distributors as a whole. With regard to the last part of the Question, the list of authorised depôts is kept under review and revised from time to time in the light of experience.
