HC Deb 23 July 1942 vol 382 c191W
Sir E. Graham-little

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware that while the increased incidence of tuberculosis in females of the age group 15 to 25 is maintained, there is a sharp rise in two new categories, children under five years of age and inmates of mental hospitals; what suggestions the Medical Research Council has made to explain the rise in the first category, young women; and whether he has any explanation of the rise in the two new categories cited?

Mr. E. Brown

Yes, Sir. The points referred to in the second and third parts of the Question will, I understand, be dealt with in the report on the inquiry made by the Medical Research Council, which I am expecting to receive very shortly.
