HC Deb 14 July 1942 vol 381 c1097W
Mr. Wootton-Davies

asked the Secretary of State for War why none of the 800 pharmacists in the Army are given any substantial responsibility for the care of medical stores or in large Army hospitals; and whether he will arrange for the better utilisation of this skilled man-power?

Sir J. Grigg

Almost all the higher appointments open to dispensers are in fact held by pharmacists. Many pharmacists have been appointed officers in charge of medical stores in large hospitals.
