HC Deb 02 July 1942 vol 381 c525W
Captain Profumo

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware of the difference which exists between the regulations governing the payment of the subsistence allowance to the Home Guard and fire-watchers in the matter of hours of duty and amount paid; and is he prepared to recommend a reconsideration of these allowances on the basis of an equal amount for an equal number of hours duty?

Sir J. Grigg

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer given to my hon. Friend the Member for Colne Valley (Mr. Glenvil Hall) on 28th April of which I am sending him a copy.
