§ Mr. George HallGrants and loans amounting to a total of £827,357, were approved under the Colonial Development and Welfare Act, 1940, up to 31st December, 1941. In addition a further scheme was approved for which provision will be made annually as required, but in respect of which it is not yet possible to estimate the total amount involved. Particulars of the grants and loans made and the purposes for which they have been approved will be given in a statement which will be laid before Parliament after the close of the financial year in accordance with Section 1 (4) of the Act.
