Hume, 60, Vicarage Lane, Stratford, volunteered on his 18th birthday for flying duties, was passed as fit at his medical examination, and instructed to return to his civilian duties until sent for; that he was then dismissed by his employers, Messrs. Angus Watson and Company, Rood Lane, E.C.3; and whether action will be taken to ensure this lad obtains restitution?
§ Mr. BevinA claim for unemployment benefit has been made and the circumstances connected with this young man's dismissal are to be considered by a court of referees on Thursday, 5th February. It would not, therefore, be appropriate for me to comment on the matter at this stage, but I will write to my hon. Friend in due course.
