HC Deb 15 December 1942 vol 385 c1787W
Mr. Price

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether any steps are being taken to collect information about, and prepare plans for, satisfying the need for food products, raw materials and consumers goods by the United Nations and the occupied countries of Europe, respectively, so that the coming of peace will find the victorious Powers in a position to promote world recovery?

Mr. Dalton

Estimates of post-war requirements for the Allied countries of Europe have been prepared by the Governments concerned, and are now being co-ordinated by the Inter-Allied Committee, under the Chairmanship of Sir Frederick Leith-Ross. Consultations are taking place between His Majesty's Government and the United States Government as to the best methods of organising relief and rehabilitation.
