asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in view of the shortage of petrol, he will give instructions that staff officers in the home Forces shall be supplied with small motor cars in place of the high-powered motor cars which are at present issued for their use?

Yes, Sir. This is already being done in so far as operational needs and the availability of low-powered cars permit.
