HC Deb 01 December 1942 vol 385 cc1030-1W
Major Lyons

asked the President of the Board of Trade the number of cinematograph exhibitors for the years 1939, 1940 and 1941, respectively, whose showings of British films were nine to 15 per cent., giving the number in each percentage between these figures for each such year?

The numbers of cinematograph exhibitors who failed to show the prescribed percentage of British films in each of the years ending 30th September, 1939, 1940 and 1941 were, respectively, 437, 316 and 1,402. The numbers recom-
