HC Deb 05 August 1942 vol 382 cc1056-7W
Mr. Perkins

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works and Planning who is responsible for the removal of iron railings in the county of Gloucestershire; whether any notice has been given in the past to the owners of these railings before removal; and whether he proposes to give reasonable notice in future?

Mr. Hicks

My Department is responsible for the removal of all iron railings in Great Britain excepting where they have been disposed of privately. Prior to the removal of railings public notices are issued by the local authorities and in addition, in future, individual notices will be issued by my Department.
