HC Deb 09 September 1941 vol 374 cc40-1W
Mr. Hannah

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department whether, in view of the overwhelming importance of our export trade during the period of reconstruction and afterwards, it is the intention of the Government to have all our consular representatives abroad make regular reports of local conditions and needs, with a view to helping our industries to find markets all over the world?

Mr. Johnstone

Full use will be made of the trade commissioner, the commercial diplomatic and the consular services for this purpose.
