HC Deb 09 September 1941 vol 374 c63W
Lieut.-Colonel Macnamara

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that officers whose wives have been caught in enemy occupied territory, namely, the Channel Islands, have had their marriage allowance stopped; and whether he will arrange to return their marriage allowance to them to be kept in a suspense account until they are reunited?

Captain Margesson

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer given to my hon. Friend the Member for North Camberwell (Mr. Ammon) on 25th February last, of which I am sending him a copy.
