§ Captain WaterhouseThe latest information available from the published trade returns relates to the year 1939. Exports of Scotch or Irish whisky consigned to Australia in 1939 were 609 thousand proof gallons. Imports of all kinds of wine consigned from Australia were 3,587 thousand gallons. As already stated in reply to previous Questions, publication of particulars of our trade in individual commodities or with individual countries has been suspended since the outbreak of war.
