§ Mr. R. Morganasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in expressing approval of the arrangements that popular caterers should only serve cups of tea and not pots of tea, he took into consideration the present charge of 2½d. per cup as against the charge in the previous week of 3½d. per pot of tea; and whether, in the interests of the poorer consumers, he will investigate the charges in question?
Major Lloyd GeorgeI cannot recall making a statement of the kind mentioned by my hon. Friend. If he will be good enough to provide me with particulars I will gladly give the matter further consideration.
