Mr. Rostron Duckworthasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether he is aware that the advice that consumers of one pint of milk or less per day should not be rationed is interfering with the smooth working of the whole scheme; and whether he will investigate the results of this decision and make a further statement?
Major Lloyd GeorgeThe exclusion from the Milk Restriction Scheme of customers purchasing one pint of milk or less per day has resulted in a reduction in the quantity of milk saved for manufacture into cheese and condensed milk. The whole scheme is at present being reviewed in the light of this circumstance.
