§ Sir R. Blairasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether plans have now been settled by which to distribute and supply all available herring and pilchards to inland towns of central and southern England?
Major Lloyd GeorgeArrangements have been made whereby herring and pilchards can be forwarded from the ports 751W of landing by merchants without payment of carriage. This should encourage equitable distribution to all centres to which such fish can be sent with a certainty of arriving in a marketable condition.
