§ Major Petoasked the President of the Board of Education whether he can now make any further statement as to the establishment of nursery schools in Birmingham?
§ Mr. ButlerI would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the answer I gave to the hon. Member for Consett (Mr. David Adams) on 27th November, of which I am sending him a copy. In present conditions the establishment of additional nursery schools is hardly practicable, since similar provision can more readily be made by means of war-time nurseries or nursery classes.
