§ Sir K. WoodI have been asked to reply. The prospectus of 2½ per cent. National War Bonds was drawn up with the greatest care so as to offer to the investor a security which would give him an appropriate return for an investment of this type having regard to the Government's declared policy of borrowing the money required for the prosecution of the war as economically as possible. I do not propose to take any action.
