§ Mr. ButlerI would remind the hon. Member that, as I stated in the House on 19th June, the Chinese Government have agreed to the arrangements made for the disposal of the silver deposited in the British Concession. No protest has been made by the Chinese Government or on their behalf with regard to the Tientsin Agreement. As regards the second part of the Question, copies of the relevant documents were as a matter of courtesy communicated to the United States Government in advance of publication.
