§ Mr. Lyonsasked the Minister of Supply what steps have been taken to utilise on the war effort the skilled services of woodworking firms throughout the country?
§ Mr. Harold MacmillanThe Ministry of Supply are using such woodworking capacity as their limited requirements necessitate. This, however, is only a small proportion of the total capacity available. The general question of the utilisation of spare capacity in this and other industries is one of the tasks of a committee, of which I am chairman, of the Production Council.
