HC Deb 04 July 1940 vol 362 c1038W
Mr. Sorensen

asked the Home Secretary approximately how many men, women, boys and girls who are refugees in this country are, respectively, of German, Austrian, Polish, Dutch, Belgian, French, Czech and Spanish nationality; and the approximate cost of maintaining those interned?

Sir J. Anderson

As the answer contains a number of figures I will, with permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT. I regret it is not possible at present to give any estimate of the cost of maintaining those interned.
