l am asked the Minister of Food what grounds there are for charging a fee of 10s. 6d. for a fresh certificate of re-registration of a retailer when a new ration book, a much more elaborate and costly document, only costs 1s. to replace?

asked the Minister of Food whether he will consider reducing the fee of 10s. 6d. at present charged to retailers for the renewal of their licence?

A licence to sell by retail or a certificate of registration of an establishment is issued free of charge to business firms, and is valid for the duration of the war. A ration document is issued to an individual and is valid for six months at the most.
