Deputy Divisional Food Officers. 2 £700 p.a.

Clerical, etc. 22 Standard rates.
* There are also two civil servants seconded from other Government Departments.
Local Food Committees. Number. Salary.
Food Executive Officers 85† £100–£600 p.a. according to population.
Chief Assistants and Assistants. 65 Up to £500 p.a. according to population.
Clerical, etc. 760 Standard rates.
†There are also 73 receiving honoraria of £50–£150 p.a.

The Headquarters of the South Western Area of the Meat and Livestock Control, which extends beyond Wales, is at Cardiff, and has the following staff:—
Area Meat and Livestock Officer. 1 £950 p.a. Major Cyril Potter, O.B.E.
Deputy Area Meat and Livestock Officer. 1 £750 p.a. Mr. E. C. Ingram.
Senior Area Officers 7 £500 to £700 p.a.
Technical Assistants 4 £300 p.a.
Clerical 18 Standard rates.

There are in addition 147 other officials (Slaughter-house staffs, deputy meat agents, etc.) operating in Wales in connection with meat and livestock control, and 27 area officers for other commodities whose areas are not necessarily confined to Wales.
