§ Captain Pluggeasked the Minister of Supply whether, in view of the agitation for scrap-iron, he will make it known to owners of derelict cars by the sides of the roads throughout the country, that they could, by disposing of them advantageously, get rid of this eye-sore and help satisfy the nation's needs?
§ Mr. BurginIn certain parts of the country there are scrap merchants or motor firms who undertake the breaking up of derelict cars for scrap. These cars can be disposed of most advantageously in cases where they are within relatively short distance of a scrap yard; but I hope that the owners of all such cars will, if possible, dispose of them and add to our resources of scrap materials.
