§ Sir R. Blairasked the First Commissioner of Works whether he is satisfied that a sufficient supply of window glass and substitutes, such as oiled silk, tar- 46W paulins, cardboard, etc., exists for the immediate repair of air raid and other damage; and will he take steps to secure that such necessities shall be obtainable at fair prices?
§ Mr. RamsbothamThere is no reason to suppose that there exists any general shortage of window glass and substitutes for the immediate repair of air-raid damage, but reserve stocks of glass and suitable substitutes have been purchased by this Department in order that temporary shortages in particular districts may be overcome.
