HC Deb 06 August 1940 vol 363 c50W
Mr. Pethick-Lawrence

asked the Minister of Supply whether he will establish, in several of the large cities of the country, branch depots of the Research Board which will sift out inventions and, when desirable, give the inventor a hearing, and, if necessary, a demonstration?

Mr. Harold Macmillan

My right hon. Friend has no reason to think the existing machinery inadequate. Interviews and demonstrations are already arranged either in London or elsewhere, wherever this seems desirable.
