HC Deb 27 September 1939 vol 351 c1351W
Mr. J. Griffiths

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the suggestion made by the Chambers of Drapers that the Government should manufacture black-out cloth and make it available for householders at reasonable prices; and whether he will give consideration to this suggestion?

Major Lloyd George

Yes, Sir. The suggestion is already receiving urgent consideration by my Department in conjunction with other Departments and interests concerned.
