Mr. LindsayThe size of the National Youth Committee was conditioned by the need for speedy and effective action. But subject to this consideration, special care was taken to include those qualified by experience to speak on behalf of young people. Apart from a direct representative of girls' organisations, both the local education authorities and the national voluntary bodies speak on behalf of girls, no less than boys. My Noble Friend fully appreciates the Noble Lady's point of view, but he would be reluctant to enlarge the committee unduly.
