HC Deb 04 October 1939 vol 351 c1977W
Mr. Tinker

asked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that neither the employers nor the insurance companies have given evidence before the Royal Commission set up to make inquiries into the revision of the Workmen's Compensation Act; and whether he will instruct his Department to obtain what evidence is available from these two bodies and then submit this to the Royal Commission in order that they may accelerate the preparation of their report?

Mr. Peake:

As at present advised, my right hon. Friend does not see that the special procedure suggested in the question would be advantageous or appropriate. The question of the course to be followed in this matter is under consideration, but my right hon. Friend is not at present in a position to make a statement.
