HC Deb 04 October 1939 vol 351 c1979W
Mr. McEntee

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that advertisements are appearing in newspapers for carpenters at certain specified places in connection with camps, etc.; whether consideration has been given to the un-desirability of publishing the location of such sites; and whether any steps are being taken to ensure that the labour required is recruited through the Employment Exchanges?

Mr. E. Brown:

Yes, Sir. The matters referred to by the hon. Member will receive consideration in consultation with the industrial organisations of employers and workers in the building trades.
