HC Deb 14 November 1939 vol 353 c567W
Mr. N. Maclean

asked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster whether he is aware that a ship arrived in England with 5,000 lbs. of Australian bacon which had not been entered in the ship's manifest and that the customs officials refused to allow it to be unloaded; and whether, in view of the rationing of bacon which is to operate soon, he will make the necessary arrangements to permit of the unloading of this addition to the national supply of food?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

I have no information as to the facts stated, but I will have inquiries made if the hon. Member will furnish me with particulars.
