§ Mr. E. BrownI have no information to the effect stated in the first part of the question. As regards the second part, the existing law requires employers to reinstate all men who were called from their civil employment for service connected with the present emergency. Men who have volunteered since 1st September are, however, not given this protection, but I am sure that employers generally will desire to give re-employment in due course in all cases where this is practicable.
