HC Deb 09 November 1939 vol 353 c432W
Sir E. Graham-Little

asked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to the fact that at least one journalist working in a paid capacity in a Government Department has been simultaneously writing under his own name in the Press on matters with which his employing Department has to deal; whether he will consider the propriety of such an arrangement; and whether the newspaper contributions in question are censored before publication?

The Prime Minister

The officer to whom my hon. Friend is, I understand, referring, has already, for private reasons, tendered his resignation, to take effect shortly; and this has been accepted with regret.
