HC Deb 02 November 1939 vol 352 cc2116-7W
Mr. Windsor

asked the Home Secretary whether he is aware that the blue volunteer enrolment form for civil defence, rescue parties, building trade workers, London, is about to be withdrawn and a new one issued with certain alterations; whether he will state the nature of such alterations and whether the building trade unions have been consulted on the matter?

Sir J. Anderson

I am informed that consultation has taken place between the local authority and the appropriate trade union representatives with a view to alterations of the form, principally to record an agreed increase in the rates of pay for the skilled members of rescue parties.
