HC Deb 02 November 1939 vol 352 c2147W
Mr. Glenvil Hall

asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that the West Riding of Yorkshire County Council has passed resolutions calling the attention of His Majesty's Government to the inadequacy of the allowances laid down for dependants of men in the fighting services, which makes it necessary for them to seek Poor Law relief; and what steps he proposes to take to rectify matters?

Captain Crookshank

I have been asked to reply. I would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave yesterday to the hon. Member for Doncaster (Mr. J. Morgan).
