HC Deb 17 May 1939 vol 347 c1433W
Mr. Lipson

asked the Minister of Transport how many drivers of vehicles, other than motor cycles, were killed in the 12 months ended 31st December, 1935, and in the 12 months ended 31st March, 1937, respectively, in accidents attributable to pedestrians; and how many pedestrians were killed in accidents attributed to drivers, other than pedal cyclists, during the same periods?

Captain Wallace

In road accidents in Great Britain in which the sole or main causes were attributed by the police to drivers other than pedal cyclists, 382 pedestrians were killed in the year 1935 and 438 pedestrians were killed in the year ended 31st March, 1937.
