HC Deb 11 May 1939 vol 347 c693W
Mr. Malcolm MacMillan

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what proposals he has received from the County Council of Inverness and Ross-shire, respectively, for taking under public control piers in the Western Isles and west coast of the counties?

Mr. Colville

The County Council of Inverness have obtained my authority under Section 1 of the Harbours, Piers and Ferries (Scotland) Act, 1937, to accept the transfer of Broadford Pier. No application under that Section has been received from the County Council of Ross and Cromarty.
