HC Deb 21 March 1939 vol 345 cc1133-4W
Dr. Guest

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will re-examine the case of Mr. A. G. Holloway, who was discharged from the Royal Engineers, Territorial Army, under paragraph 204 (6) (a) on the ground of alleged breach of discipline without any formal inquiry, his discharge paper being endorsed Discharged, as there is no further use for his services; and whether it is a fact that Mr. Holloway has no right to any form of trial or formal inquiry under the existing regulations before discharge?

Mr. Hore-Belisha

I can find no reason to re-open the matter. There is a right of appeal to the Army Council.
