HC Deb 02 March 1939 vol 344 c1459W
Mr. Hannah

asked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the fact that Coseley unemployed have frequently, at great inconvenience, to use Labour Exchanges at Dudley, Tipton, Bilston and Wolverhampton, he will consider founding an Exchange in Coseley itself?

Mr. E. Brown

The nearest Exchange for Coseley residents is at Bilston, from 1½ to three miles away. Those attending at Dudley, Tipton or Wolverhampton do so voluntarily because they habitually look for employment there. In the circumstances I do not feel that the provision of separate premises at Coseley would be justified.
