§ Mr. StanleyAccording to the trade returns, total imports into the United Kingdom of fish of all kinds (including shell-fish, canned fish and fish not of British taking landed from deep sea fisheries) were, in 1937, 3,689,000 cwts. valued at £10,097,000; and, in 1938, 3,719,000 cwts. valued at £10,134,000. Details are shown on pages 32 and 33 of the issue of the Monthly Trade Accounts for December last.
