§ Mr. SIMONasked the Minister of Pensions if he is aware that the widow of the late Lieutenant J. B. Jones, Lancashire Fusiliers, whose death on 15th February, 1929, was certified to be due to influenza, complicated with old-standing bronchitis, enlargement of the thyroid gland, and myocarditis, dating from September, 1916, when he was blown up on active service, has been refused a pension on the ground that he, was not in receipt of retired pay in respect of disablement at the time of his death; and whether he is prepared to reconsider such cases?
