§ Captain WallaceI am informed by the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company that negotiations initiated by the Company are proceeding with a view to establishing a ferry service for motor vehicles between Gourock and Dunoon, which will involve the preparation of a specially designed ferry-boat to enable cars to be handled at all states of the tide. Ramps will be required at each terminal and the question of cost is under examination. The negotiations are being directed with a view to having the service in operation at the earliest possible date.
