asked the Minister of Labour whether he will state the number of persons registered as unemployed at Thirsk on the last convenient date, differentiating between those registered under the general scheme and those under the agricultural scheme?

At 16th January, 1939, 210 persons, aged 14–64, insured under the general scheme and 54 insured under the agricultural scheme, were recorded as unemployed at the Thirsk Employment Exchange.
