Mr. Markham

asked the Minister of Agriculture (1) whether the recommendations of the Inter-Departmental Committee on Veterinary Education have yet been considered; whether the Government propose to adopt the recommendations; and whether the necessary legislation will be introduced during the current Session;

(2) whether he has considered the means suggested by the Inter-Departmental Committee on Veterinary Education for bringing veterinary education into closer connection with the universities; and whether it is proposed to facilitate the necessary steps to implement the policy suggested?
