§ Sir G. Foxasked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the case in which a child, known to be suffering from an infectious disease and having been refused admittance by a fever hospital, was billeted by a doctor and a billeting officer in a reception area on a householder whose husband is away on active service, while she was out, despite the fact that other children were in the house; if such action is officially recognised; whether he will give an assurance that if the other children contract this disease the local authority will pay all individual expenses; and if he will give instructions to the authorities concerned that such action will not be repeated, and that children suffering from infectious diseases should not in future be re-billeted on houses where there are other children and will only be sent to hospitals equipped for the purpose?
§ Mr. ElliotI have not received information of the case to which my hon. Friend refers, but if he will be good enough to send me particulars I will have inquiries made immediately.
