HC Deb 12 December 1939 vol 355 c1051W
Mr. Sorensen

asked the Prime Minister whether His Majesty's Government is considering, in collaboration with other Governments or otherwise, what action could be taken respecting possible refugees from Finland; and whether facilities would be granted to British charitable organisations to assist if necessary in social and medical services to the Finnish people?

The Prime Minister

No, Sir. But if unhappily the need of affording assistance to Finnish refugees should arise, His Majesty's Government would be prepared to give sympathetic consideration to any proposal which British charitable organisations might wish to make.
